Redesigning the Online MBA: The Essential Partnership between Program Administration, Faculty, and Learning Design

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Due to continuous competition in the field, it was necessary to recreate our Penn State online MBA (OMBA) program. Led by the Smeal College of Business in partnership with the World Campus, our challenge was to redesign the OMBA by capturing what we had learned in our current model and creating a forum that insisted on an open synergy of ideas among program administration, faculty, and learning design. This dynamic partnership encouraged the generation of ideas linking technology with content expertise, expert leadership, and instructional systems design. This session will highlight our cooperative process in implementing the ICE Model (Integration, Collaboration, Engagement) for design of our 13 core courses, including strategies related to processes, technology, and measurement.
